Sophie Hermanns

Sophie Hermanns is currently assisting with a research project at the German Development Institute in Bonn, focusing on governance reform of the UN Development System. She is also a research intern for Academics Stand Against Poverty, which is based at Yale University, and a co-founder of the Cambridge Development Initiative, a student-led nonprofit group promoting urban development in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Hermanns is working on a master's degree in political science from a joint program at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, Sciences Po in Paris and Humboldt University in Berlin. She has a B.A. in history from Cambridge University. She speaks German, English, French, Italian and Spanish.
